EL2 Director Disability Supports (Affirmative Measures - Disability) Currently, there are around 4.3 million Australians with a disability.
The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare.
As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability.
The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability.
A new role awaits The Office of Agency Accessibility and Inclusion (OAAI) Branch is seeking a Director to lead the Disability Supports team.
The Disability Supports team delivers workplace supports, adjustments, and services for staff with disability.
This role supports the NDIA in providing a world-leading service for staff with disability and requires a continuous learning approach to effectively lead and coach others in individualised supports.
Where you can add value The EL2 Director Disability Supports is accountable under broad direction to undertake work with a high level of complexity or sensitivity that delivers quality outcomes across the functions of the NDIA.
Provide specialist advice relating to workplace adjustments and support for employees with disability.
Contribute to the production of papers and reports for a range of internal and external stakeholders, including the Minister, SLT, and Board.
Build and maintain strong working partnerships with the Branch and Agency's executive leadership.
Provide strategic direction and establish priorities for the work area to meet operational requirements.

Highly developed interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
You will have excellent communication skills to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and have a passion for inclusion with a commitment to adhering to industry-leading practices.
A history of leadership and responsibility for resolving complex/sensitive issues while managing risks will be highly regarded.

We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months with the possibility of extension up to 2 years may be offered.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check, and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
