Operations Manager – Architectural Glass Manufacturing and Window & Door Business

About Us:
We are an ambitious and fast-growing company in the architectural glass manufacturing and window & door industry.
With a new long-term lease and cutting-edge equipment on order, we are gearing up to establish a local architectural glass manufacturing business in Melbourne.
Additionally, we are in the process of acquiring a reputable local window and door business.
Our goal is to become a leading force in the Australian market by combining high-quality products with outstanding service.
To achieve this, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Operations Manager to help establish, grow, and manage our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the establishment of our architectural glass manufacturing business, including overseeing the setup of new equipment and operations.
Manage the integration and operations of our newly acquired window and door business.
Develop and implement an online presence, including creating a company website and managing digital marketing strategies to drive sales.
Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team to support business operations.
Establish and maintain health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Ensure compliance with AS2047, AS4284, AS1288, NCC (National Construction Code), and other relevant Australian Standards and performance requirements.
Build and nurture relationships with key industry stakeholders and clients to grow sales and expand market reach.
Monitor and manage daily business operations, ensuring efficiency and profitability.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in the glass, window, door, or construction industry.
Strong understanding and practical application of NCC, AS1288, and other relevant Australian Standards and performance requirements.
Proven leadership skills with experience in managing teams and operations.
Demonstrated ability to drive sales and build customer relationships.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations in Australia.
Well-connected within the architectural glass, window, or door industry, with a network of contacts.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Mandarin-speaking candidates are preferred to support communication within the team and with suppliers.
