Catholic Education, Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn (CECG) plays an integral role in education in the ACT and NSW, operating 56 schools and nine Early Learning Centres (ELCs).
The Catholic Education Office (CEO) provides corporate services to schools and ELCs.

About the Role
As a Human Resource Business Partner, you'll play a vital role in fostering positive organisational culture and supporting key HR initiatives across a portfolio of schools and ELCs.
Reporting to the Senior Officer of People and Culture, you will act as a trusted advisor, partnering with senior management in providing strategic guidance on performance, workforce planning, leadership development, talent management, change management, and business improvement.

In this generalist role, you'll coach and mentor school leadership teams to enhance their effectiveness, manage complex cases, lead investigations, and support a consistent approach to Health & Safety.

Ideal candidates will have:
A relevant qualification in a related discipline (or equivalent experience) Extensive HR generalist expertise Proven ability to manage conflict Advanced skills in advising on enterprise agreements Strong communication skills, particularly in managing sensitive situations and conflict resolution Eligibility for Working With Children's registrations and a current driver's license This role is perfect for a proactive, people-oriented professional looking to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and collaborative educational environment.

Applicants must submit a resume and cover letter addressing the selection criteria below:
Demonstrated experience across a broad range of HR generalist functions, encompassing strategic and operational support within diverse organisational contexts.
Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to effectively manage conflict, negotiate successfully, and achieve desired outcomes.
Extensive experience in advising and supporting senior leadership on complex matters related to multiple enterprise agreements and industrial instruments.
Advanced understanding and application of performance management frameworks and processes, with a focus on continuous improvement and capability building.
Strong expertise in conducting workplace investigations, including effective resolution of staff grievances, complaints, and performance management issues.

You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible to apply for this position.
