We are looking for a suitably skilled and experienced Service and Warranty professional to join our team.
Reporting to the General Manager – Aftersales, Service and Warranty, the successful person will inherit a highly experienced and capable team.
As this is a national role, it can be based in Sydney or Brisbane.
We are looking for someone who will be able to support our business by delivering the following tasks:
Lead the strategic expansion of VDI's National Service Network by leveraging existing service teams to engage, negotiate, and secure new service contracts.
Prioritise strengthening OEM partnerships to achieve shared brand objectives and market impact.
Drive collaborative efforts with OEMs and internal stakeholders to continuously enhance brand perception and market reputation.
Partner with state managers to strategically oversee and optimise customer satisfaction and retention initiatives.
Deliver clear guidance on departmental objectives and future potential forecasts, enabling a continuous improvement mindset across all operations.
Maintain regular, targeted engagement with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of service department objectives with overall company goals.
Maintain high workshop productivity and efficiency levels to maximise vehicle uptime, new vehicle deliveries, and overall service quality.
Oversee and track all warranty claims and recall processes, ensuring accurate documentation and timely submission to relevant regulatory authorities.
Direct and manage the training and development initiatives for all service department personnel.
To be successful you will need to:
Have previous experience in the bus industry/service centre.
3 – 5 years in a supervisory/management role.
Must be trade qualified in heavy-duty mechanical; experience working on buses would be an advantage.
Experience with electric vehicles/buses.
Customer-centric approach to tasks.
Experience with Electric buses/vehicles will also be advantageous.
