Our client is a globally backed food business with an over-indexed share of branded and private label products across a number of categories and channels.
The business has grown exponentially over the past few years and they have no plans to slow down.Due to business growth, there is a need for a Senior National Account Manager to lead the Independents and Metcash channel through the next growth phase.The RoleReporting into the General Manager, the Senior National Account Manager will operate as the face of the business in the independents arm.
This role will progress through to a Business Manager position.
They will be responsible for the end-to-end account management across the independent and Metcash channels, delivering short-term and long-term growth strategies as they look to increase market share, drive value, and increase ranging across new and existing categories.The core responsibilities for this role will include:Managing customer relations and providing effective communication with key stakeholders.Driving sales through negotiation and relationship building.Providing accurate forecasting and financial reporting to identify and address any commercial challenges.Leveraging limited data and insights to build and deliver actionable category plans and growth initiatives, including NPD.Providing accurate forecasts and ensuring any supply issues are managed and resolved with the customer.Effective promotional planning.Developing and managing business processes and procedures as they relate to account management, customer feedback, and key performance indicators.Leading and managing range reviews to deliver incremental range, volume, and margin.Your BackgroundThe ideal candidate will be a solid National Account Manager or Senior National Account Manager that is comfortable being hands-on.
They should be comfortable managing the day-to-day administrative work whilst building strong customer and distributor relationships.
They will have demonstrated ability to drive sales and build relationships within the Independents and Metcash channel.To be successful in this role, the candidate will have a curious nature and an entrepreneurial mindset.
A self-drive and hunger to grow and take on challenges would be ideal for this specific role.
They will be a natural problem solver, whilst being self-aware and agile.Experience Required:5+ years as a National Account Manager or similar role.Experience and proven relationships within the Independent and Metcash markets.Ability to lead buyer conversations.Highly competent working both independently and in teams with strong communication/influencing capabilities.What's on OfferThis is a great opportunity to take on a growing portfolio and gain valuable experience leading customer conversations.
