The Business: SPC is an iconic Australian food manufacturer with over 100 years of commitment to supporting the Australian economy and manufacturing industry.
Their commercial office is based in Essendon Fields, Melbourne, with manufacturing and distribution facilities in Victoria's Goulburn Valley, and additional sites, Kuisine and The Good Meal Co., located in Auburn, NSW.
As they enter a new chapter, they are unlocking growth potential and globalising SPC's trusted brands, including SPC, SPC ProVital, Goulburn Valley, and Ardmona.
The Role: Reporting to the National Business Manager - Industrial B2B, the National Account Manager for Ingredients will assist in managing SPC's key strategic food manufacturing partners and driving growth across the industrial B2B channel.
Working cross-functionally with marketing, demand planning, logistics, finance, and sales teams, this role will be key in delivering innovative, sustainable growth for Ingredients' portfolio.
You'll develop and execute strategies to achieve SPC's sales and profitability goals, influence key financial levers within the P&L, and bring forward-thinking approaches to category management and promotional planning.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve volume, revenue, and margin targets for the ingredients channel, including managing joint business plans with key customers.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers and internal stakeholders while identifying new growth opportunities and managing new NPD projects.
Negotiate and close sales deals to meet or exceed budget targets, manage customer contracts, and review and implement price changes based on cost of goods sold.
Forecast constrained and unconstrained demand, manage stock inventory, and ensure alignment with supply planning and procurement.
Work cross-functionally with R&D, operations, procurement, and finance teams while preparing and presenting sales reports to senior management.
What You Bring: 3-5 years of experience in a B2B sales role with an understanding of the food manufacturing or agricultural industry and experience selling into those channels.
A thorough understanding of natural ingredients and/or fruit based products, including customer and buyer needs and market competition.
Proven success in sales and account management within the food sector.
Strong commercial acumen, planning, and organisation skills, with attention to detail.
Ability to influence and build productive, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
