The RoleOur Building and Energy Division has a strong focus on the safety of the Western Australian Community, whether it's monitoring technical standards for building or plumbing services, electricity or gas networks, or auditing, inspecting and investigating complaints and breaches of legislation, safety is paramount.
As the Complaints Manager within Dispute Resolution, your key focus will be to manage a team to effectively manage complaints and deliver an efficient complaint resolution service to both consumers and the industry.
From managing the establishment of dedicated policies as well as complaints under the Building Services Complaint Resolution and Administration Act (BSCRA), to consulting with both internal and external stakeholders, providing structured training to members of the branch and preparing reports that identify key trends, you will play an important part in the vital work our Building and Energy Division does.
You will be supported by the Director of Building Compliance and joining a dedicated and hard-working team.

To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments) at the time of application.
Minimum RequirementsA detailed resume outlining your key achievements, work history, education and professional development and covering letter of no more than two (2) pages, addressing the following points:
A qualification in a relevant discipline or extensive knowledge and understanding in a regulatory enforcement environment including complex conciliation processes.Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legislation and an understanding of legal and dispute processes.Demonstrated experience leading a team that assesses and handles complaints about matters under relevant legislation.We welcome all to apply, however, preference may be given to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with disability, youth and people of diverse sexualities.
