Business Development Manager

About Us:SMS Mining Services, a privately owned West Australian mining contractor founded in 2000, has evolved from equipment rental to encompass rental, maintenance, and contract mining divisions.
Our mission is to enhance our reputation in the mining industry.
The Opportunity:You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with current and prospective clients, coupled with an innate ability to stay abreast of market and industry trends and understanding of clients' needs to identify potential business opportunities.
This role will be based out of our Head Office in Welshpool, with all the necessary tools provided to maintain both intrastate and interstate travel.
About the role: Identifying, evaluating, and pursuing new business opportunitiesPursuing leads and moving them through the sales cycleBuilding and maintaining customer relationships with new and existing clientsResearch and develop new business opportunitiesDeveloping quotes, presentations, and sales proposals to prospective clientsAssist in tendering for future Rental and Contract Mining workAttending industry networking events, conferences, and other business opportunities to positively represent the company and drive brand awarenessUpdate social media accounts with information for current and prospective clientsRegular state-wide travel as part of the duties of this roleWhat we are looking for: Proven track record in a senior sales role within the mining industryTrade/Degree qualification is desirable but not essential for the roleIn-depth understanding of mining equipment and related technologiesStrong leadership and communication skillsHigh-level ability to build and foster relationshipsValid C Class Manual Driver's LicenseWhat SMS can offer: Financial: Competitive salary and salary sacrificing optionsHealth: Free confidential EAP and wellness services, and health insurance discountsSounds like you?
