Sales / Business Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales / Business Development Manager with a deep understanding of the liquor and wine industry, ideally with proven expertise in Global Travel Retail (GTR). In this role, you'll conduct market analysis, establish strategic partnerships and look after current accounts to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention. The ideal candidate will have a robust track record of success in the liquor and wine sector, demonstrating comprehensive industry knowledge and an ability to navigate its complexities. If you have a passion for the Global Travel Retail and Cruise Industries (Beverage Focus) and a proven track record in business development and account management, we want to hear from youMain duties and responsibilitiesCustomer and Stakeholder Liaison:Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure their supply and logistics needs are fully considered.Preparation and execution of annual tenders for main GTR / Cruise accounts.Develop strong relationships with customers to understand their unique requirements and ensure these are met through tailored supply and logistics solutions.Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and issues related to supply chain and logistics, providing timely and effective resolutions.Gather customer feedback to continuously improve supply chain processes and enhance customer satisfaction.Logistics Optimization:Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics, reduce costs, and enhance distribution efficiency and accuracy.Vendor Management:Manage and grow the supplier and vendor base in accordance with corporate objectives.Manage relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure favourable terms and pricing.Coordinate with domestic and international suppliers and maintain strong relationships to ensure a steady supply.Business Development:Partnership & Network Expansion:Identify and establish relationships with strategic partners, including suppliers, distributors, and key clients.Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to build a strong professional network.Sales Growth Initiatives:Develop and lead innovative sales initiatives to increase market share and drive revenue. This may include creating promotional campaigns, expanding product lines, and tailoring offerings to meet the needs of target markets.Client Relationship Management:Oversee a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.Regularly meet with clients to understand their needs, assess performance, and uncover additional service opportunities.Financial Planning & Forecasting:Collaborate with the finance team to set realistic sales goals and budget forecasts.Track performance metrics, analyze sales data, and provide regular reports on business development activities to senior management.Competitive Analysis:Monitor competitor activities and industry shifts to maintain a competitive edge.Develop strategies to differentiate our brand, improve customer loyalty, and capture additional market share.Strategic Planning and Implementation:Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize the supply chain process from procurement to distribution.Identify and source reliable suppliers and vendors when required.Networking and Representation:Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.Build and maintain a network of industry contacts and influencers to enhance the company's market presence.Ensure the core values of the group are upheld.Other duties as nominated from time to time by the company.Other dutiesFulfil other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested/required.
