We're a brand new hotel, opened in September 2024
As a result, we're looking for a Business Development Manager to join the team and wider Veriu Group family.
Opened few weeks ago, this new apartment hotel is located adjacent to Sunshine Station, currently undergoing a major redevelopment as part of the Sunshine Precinct Masterplan.
Upon completion, the Masterplan landmark project will transform the Station into a transport 'superhub' linking Melbourne Airport with both the CBD and regional Victoria.
Featuring 90-apartments, Punthill Sunshine is represented an attractive accommodation option for both business and leisure travellers, and it offers a mix of fully self-contained modern studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments together with a large conference space that can be turned into 2 spaces.
The hotel's strategic location in Melbourne's thriving western region makes it an ideal destination and what makes Punthill Sunshine an exciting addition to our growing network of 24 existing hotels
Responsibilities At Veriu Group we recognise that that people do business with people, and therefore relationships are at the core of our success.
Our sales philosophy is all about genuine relationship building, exploring a need, and providing a suitable solution – it's a mutually beneficial partnership and a win-win for us and them.
As BDM you'll identify, pursue, and secure growth opportunities for Corporate Accounts (B2B).
You'll be the expert in sales at the hotel and partner closely with the Hotel Manager to ensure that we're on a pathway to achieve our strategic goals
Your responsibilities will require you to:
Drive direct corporate sales (B2B) to increase production and generate new corporate relationshipsNavigate and secure opportunities associated with major projects and institutionsCold-call, knock on doors, generate new leads & develop a strong corporate pipelineIncrease brand awareness by improving current relationships & build strong relationships with new clientsConduct site inspections, client visits, attend industry events & work with a team-orientated approachDevelop and implement sales plans and develop a targeted approach to grow our business to exceed targetsYou'll be someone looking for a long-term career with a growing, Australian-owned hotel group.
