Taldumande Youth Services has an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced Social Worker to join the busy team at our head office in St Leonards.
Reporting to the Casework Coordinator-Specialist Homelessness Services, this full time permanent position will be responsible for:
Conducting intakes, assessments and risk assessmentsProviding outreach/case management and advocacy support to young people and their familiesCollaborating with external agencies and community partnersMaintaining case notes and records in line with organisational policies and proceduresThe successful candidate will hold:
A completed tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology or similarCurrent Driver's Licence, Working With Children Check, Police Check and First Aid CertificationA strong and successful track record over at least two years in a similar position working with young peopleDemonstrated experience in child/youth welfare or family services, preferably within the community sectorStrong assessment, case management and counselling skillsThe ability to navigate the social services systemSuperior verbal and written communication skillsA client-centered focus and approachIn return, we offer a friendly and supportive team environment, competitive remuneration, salary packaging benefits, opportunities for professional development, EAP and more
