Our organisation is driven by a sense of purpose, and we believe in making a positive impact for our residents while fostering an active local economy.Our Leisure Centre team values collaboration, respect, and a commitment to excellence, working together to achieve our strategic objectives while fostering a supportive work environment for all employees as well as focusing on work-life balance.Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Duty Officer you will:Provide on-site day-to-day supervision of lifeguards, ensuring that public safety and lifeguard standards are maintained.Utilise your expertise in pool operations, plant maintenance and hygiene standards to maintain high-quality facilities in compliance with NSW Health Guidelines.Maintain all relevant records onsite to adhere to industry standards and guidelines.Ensure all WH&S procedure checklists and inspections are completed.Play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment whilst delivering an exceptional customer experience for all patrons.Your ProfileIf you are motivated, reliable, possess excellent communication skills and are passionate about aquatic safety and customer service, we want to hear from youSenior First Aid Certificate, Pool Lifeguard Licence (RLSS), and Pool Operations Certificate.Demonstrated experience in supervising staff in a customer-focused environment.Knowledge of water treatment, hygiene standards, and NSW Health Regulations.Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve operational goals.A strong background in aquatics and facility management, with a focus on safety and customer service.Join our Team and Grow with UsIf you are ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role that makes a real difference in the community, apply now to join our team at Sutherland Shire CouncilApply by responding to our online application questions and submitting your resume outlining why we are a great fitGet your application in by 11.59pm: Sunday 12th January 2025.Interview date: Interviews will be facilitated within two weeks of the position closing.Package: $70,797 - $75,045 gross p.a.
