A recently recruited contractor has now been permanently employed in the team, creating another opportunity for a proactive and diligent payroll specialist with high volume payroll processing experience to join the payroll and shared services team within a large HR department. Under the supervision of the payroll team leader, you will be a key member of a high‑performing team. Your responsibilities will include delivering a range of quality payroll services, including fortnightly payroll processing, issue resolution, responding to employee pay queries, and ensuring that all salary and other allowance payments are made in accordance with the relevant industrial instrument such as employment agreements and awards. To be successful in this role, you will have: Demonstrated experience in a similar high‑volume role processing payroll for 500+ employees – essential Strong knowledge of contemporary payroll processing practices and standards Knowledge of relevant legislative requirements applicable to payroll processing and payments Demonstrated experience using iChRIS or Chris21 payroll system; Humanforce preferred Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment Experience working with multiple awards/award interpretation Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and customer service skills Willingness to obtain a police check What we can offer you as an employee of Catholic Healthcare Not‑for‑profit tax benefits - pay less tax Fitness passport - discounted gym benefits Paid parental leave Paid family leave, additional days off each year Long service leave after 5 years A values‑based organisation that welcomes applicants from all faiths and backgrounds Apply online now Catholic Healthcare acknowledges the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which we live, work and dream.
