The Role As our IT & Automation Engineering Architect, you’ll build the digital nervous system of eCom Capital. This isn’t about maintaining tools — it’s about engineering leverage. What You’ll Do Design the Nervous System of the Business Architect a unified system connecting Close CRM, ActiveCampaign, Zapier, Webflow, Airtable, Slack, Google Workspace, Figma, Skool, Xero, and Hyros. Implement advanced workflow orchestration using Zapier, Make (Integromat), or n8n, with fallback APIs in Python for logic-heavy automations. Design and maintain data integrity and synchronization across marketing, sales, and client delivery pipelines. Build the Brain Behind Our Operations Deploy AI-driven automations that intelligently assist in: Sales enablement (lead scoring, rep performance dashboards, predictive call outcomes); Product sourcing (AI agents trained on supplier data, trend detection, and margin forecasting); Marketing analytics (creative performance dashboards, CAC-to-ROAS predictive modeling). Use Python, LangChain, OpenAI APIs, and vector databases (e.g. Pinecone) to embed AI in business-critical workflows. Architect Our Data Advantage Develop a centralized data lake and analytics layer built initially in Airtable + Google BigQuery + Data Studio, evolving to a modular data warehouse (Snowflake or AWS Redshift). Create robust ETL pipelines (using Airbyte/Fivetran or custom Python scripts) to aggregate sales, marketing, and operational data from multiple sources. Build predictive dashboards and real-time KPIs accessible to leadership and teams across departments. Engineer Client Breakthroughs Build client-facing dashboards that visualize growth metrics, sales data, and performance insights using Retool, Streamlit, or custom web apps. Implement automated pipelines that transform raw data from Shopify, Meta Ads, and Hyros into actionable insights for clients. Enable Organizational Leverage Systematically eliminate manual processes across departments using automation-first thinking. Lead technical documentation and knowledge transfer, ensuring all systems are modular, maintainable, and version-controlled (GitHub/Bitbucket). Collaborate with leadership to identify leverage points where technology can deliver a 10x productivity gain. What You Bring Full-Stack Fluency: Proficiency in Python, JavaScript (Node.js), C++, or Java with demonstrated experience in API development and integration. Systems Integration Expertise: Deep understanding of Shopify API, CRM/marketing automation, webhooks, and OAuth-based systems. Automation Architecture: Proven track record of designing multi-step, conditional workflows using Zapier, n8n, Airflow, or custom Python scripts. Data Engineering & Visualization: Strong grasp of ETL processes, relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), and analytics platforms like Google Data Studio or Power BI. AI & LLM Implementation: Experience integrating OpenAI, HuggingFace, or custom ML models into production workflows. Security & Compliance Awareness: Understanding of OAuth2, role-based access controls, data privacy (GDPR/CCPA), and secure API architecture. Business-Driven Mindset: 6+ years bridging technical systems with measurable commercial outcomes. Communication Mastery: Ability to explain complex systems clearly to business and creative teams.
