Administration Assistant – Urology Join Urology department at The Royal Melbourne Hospital Work with a diverse and supportive team Ongoing Part Time position – 32 hours per fortnight The Royal Melbourne Hospital is one of Victoria’s leading public hospitals, recognised for excellence, compassion, and innovation in healthcare. We are seeking a dedicated Administration Officer to join our Urology Service — a busy, multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive care to patients across specialist clinics, diagnostic services, and surgical pathways. This is a great opportunity to step into a central role supporting the smooth running of our clinics, reception, and day‑to‑day departmental operations. You’ll be the welcoming face of the service and a key point of coordination for staff, patients, families, and external providers. Your new role Provide friendly and professional front‑of‑house reception support Manage appointment bookings, changes, and patient arrivals Process leave applications, timesheets and RosterOn submissions Ensure all clinic correspondence is prepared and sent in a timely manner Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail and general departmental enquiries Provide pre‑ and post‑clinic administration support to clinicians Liaise with internal departments, interpreters, and external referrers Maintain accurate records and support the team with day‑to‑day administrative tasks About You You have experience in a busy, patient‑focused medical or clinical environment You’re a confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills You’re organised, detail‑oriented, and able to balance competing priorities You show initiative and work effectively both independently and within a team You’re adaptable, professional, and committed to delivering a high‑quality patient experience You’re confident using IT systems and learning new processes Benefits Be part of a supportive and values‑driven workplace culture Career growth opportunities, ongoing training, and professional development Access to Health & Wellbeing programs including Fitness Passport, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and Staff Peer Support Salary packaging, on‑site car parking, and great public transport access To view the full position description please click here.
