Medical Receptionist

We're seeking a professional and highly organised Medical Receptionist to join a leading specialist healthcare practice. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys providing exceptional patient service, supporting a busy team of doctors, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of medical operations. About the Role As the first point of contact for patients, you'll play a key role in delivering outstanding service and administrative support. You will manage patient bookings, billing, and correspondence while maintaining a welcoming and professional environment. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality administrative and reception support to medical practitioners and patients Manage patient appointments, referrals, and billing (including Medicare and health fund claims) Handle patient enquiries with professionalism and empathy Process payments, invoices, and daily banking Maintain accurate and confidential patient records Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support efficient clinic operations About You Previous experience working in medical rooms or specialist practices - ideally within Ophthalmology or a similar healthcare setting Strong communication and customer service skills Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and patient management systems Knowledge of Medicare and private health fund billing procedures Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work under pressure Reliable, well-presented, and a strong team player Requirements Current National Police Check and Working With Children Check Vaccination compliance documentation (desirable) Why Join Us?
