About the Role Reporting directly to the Inside Sales Manager, the ideal Business Development Manager will have a proven track record of success in a B2B sales environment with an in-depth understanding of the Caravan, Marine or Motorbike marketplaces and competitive landscape within Australia. The role requires extensive business development capabilities, a passion for developing the business area, a clear strategic vision, and the ability to translate challenges into business opportunities that benefit our clients and the business. What You'll Do Deliver monthly and quarterly revenue targets, ensuring 100% KPI achievement Develop and execute national and quarterly sales strategies focused on segmentation, visitation cycles, and revenue growth Drive both account management growth and new business acquisition opportunities Build and maintain relationships with key industry leaders across Caravans, Motorbikes, Marine, and related sectors Champion sales excellence through customer satisfaction, long‑term strategic planning, and market expansion Provide market intelligence and dealer insights to inform strategic decision‑making Plan campaigns with trade marketing to build a yearly plan for acquisition and account management (retention) Collaborate cross‑functionally with internal teams (Dealer Sales and Operations) and external partners (Dealer principals, General Managers, Marketing Managers, OEM partners, industry experts, and key suppliers) to strengthen market presence and performance What You'll Bring 3–5 years of experience in digital sales Experience working in the caravan/marine/motorbike industry (highly advantageous) Extensive experience in prospecting, negotiating, closing and conflict resolution The ability to address client issues efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service Experience building national sales strategies to identify commercial opportunities Proven track record communicating with senior business owners, franchisees, professionals and decision makers Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present using PowerPoint A self‑starter who is autonomous, organised and has excellent time‑management skills A data‑driven approach to everything you do Basic to intermediate Excel skills and exposure to Salesforce CRM What You'll Get Flexible hybrid work schedule, flexible hours and the freedom to work from anywhere for 4 weeks a year A $150 monthly allowance toward preferred health insurance, plus exclusive Bupa discounts 20 weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks for secondary caregivers – we support all kinds of families A Learning and Development budget to fuel your growth and help you level up Your birthday off – yes, it’s all about you Regular team events and fortnightly socials to connect, unwind and have fun along the way 24/7 access to Sonder for you and your family – because your wellbeing matters Let’s Do This Ready to build something meaningful with great people, real impact and huge potential?
