Until March 14 2025 with possible extensionAbout the roleAs our Senior Communications and Engagement Officer, you will:• Develop and manage the implementation of integrated communication and stakeholder engagement activities, including the preparation of communication strategies and plans from inception to evaluation.• Research, write, develop and edit a range of communication and engagement materials.• Manage complex workloads, meet deadlines and commitments and complete tasks within a tight timeframe, both independently and as part of a team.• Rapidly analyse and interpret complex technical issues in plain language.• Establish and maintain effective relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives, colleagues and clients in order to meet expectations.• Work collaboratively with teams of technical specialists on high-profile projects including emergency responses for biosecurity and natural disasters.• Provide advice and support to management on communication and engagement projects.• Maintain current knowledge of latest trends and best practice in communication and engagement.• Work outside of normal business hours may be a requirement of this role.You may also have• a qualification in communication, engagement or marketing would be well regarded.All employees are expected to role model leadership behaviours.
