About the Role An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Community Mental Health Clinician (Grade Two Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, Psychologist or Grade 3 Registered Psychiatric Nurse) to join the Merri‑bek Community Team within Northern Health’s Mental Health Division. The team is large, supportive and dynamic, located centrally in Coburg with good public transport and parking options. The role involves working with the treating team to support a designated group of consumers requiring medium‑to‑long term specialist mental health support through assessment, delivering targeted mental health interventions and coordinating care. This position is permanent and offers both full‑time and part‑time hours, with business hours the primary schedule and the option to work a small number of acute shifts. Qualifications The appropriate qualifications as a Grade 2 Psychologist, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist or Grade 3 Registered Psychiatric Nurse. Passion about contributing positively to the lives of consumers with mental illness and their families. Experience in the provision of psychiatric assessment and intervention for consumers with a mental illness – preferably in a public mental health setting. Ability to provide general and discipline‑specific mental health assessment and intervention. Ability to work as part of a team but also work autonomously.
