Location: Melton Community Health Building Employment Type: Full-Time, Ongoing Salary: RPN3, OT2, SW2 or P2 + Superannuation + Salary Packaging About the Role Western Health Mental Health and Wellbeing Services are seeking a skilled and compassionate clinician to join our team in a dual‑role position across the HOPE program and Community Intake. This is a full‑time role, and the position is split evenly: 0.5 EFT Intake Clinician with fixed Intake days on Monday, Wednesday and every second Friday 0.5 EFT HOPE Clinician on the remaining rostered days This role offers variety, continuity, and the opportunity to work across both early engagement and intensive post‑suicidal support in a growing metropolitan corridor. About the HOPE Program HOPE (Hospital Outreach Post‑Suicidal Engagement) provides time‑limited, assertive outreach to people following a suicide attempt or experiencing serious suicidal ideation, intent or planning. Clinicians provide up to 12 weeks of coordinated, recovery‑oriented care , delivering evidence‑based psychological interventions and working closely with families, carers and community supports. About the Intake Role The Intake function is often the first point of contact for individuals, families and referring services. Intake clinicians play a critical role in: Reviewing, assessing and prioritising referrals Offering consultation and advice to internal and external stakeholders Linking people to the most appropriate service in a timely and person‑centred way About You This multidisciplinary role is open to: Registered Psychiatric Nurses Occupational Therapists Social Workers Clinical Psychologists You will bring: A genuine commitment to recovery‑oriented, person‑centred care Strong skills in mental state and risk assessment Experience delivering brief, evidence‑based therapeutic interventions Confidence making timely, clinically sound decisions, particularly within Intake settings Well‑developed documentation skills across electronic clinical systems The ability to work within the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022 A collaborative approach, with the ability to liaise effectively with consumers, families, carers, internal teams and external services A clear interest in suicide prevention and early intervention We expect all team members to lead with kindness , modelling open communication and supporting high‑quality clinical care across the team.
