About the Role We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to join our Hotel Services team on a casual basis , working across three sites in our Bayside network (Beleura, Peninsula & Linacre) to support our teams and deliver exceptional food services. In this position, you will oversee food preparation for patients, staff, the cafeteria, and special events. You will also supervise kitchen personnel, ensure high food quality and hygiene standards, and develop menus that deliver an exceptional dining experience. This role reports to the Food Services Manager and works with a large, varied team. Responsibilities Cold Larder Preparation and handling of food Preparation & Cooking of meals Understanding of patient dietary requirements Ensuring a clean environment is maintained Wash & clean downs of equipment Daily completion of food and safety log sheets Compliance with food safety & HACCP Ordering of food & supplies Stock rotation About You Certificate in Commercial Cooking Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Chef Current Food & Safety Supervisor Certificate Ability to cater to a wide variety of sensitive dietary requirements Must have a thorough understanding of allergy management practices Ability to work in a multicultural and diverse workplace Previous healthcare setting experience will be highly regarded. Remuneration Base Hourly Rates in accordance with Enterprise Agreement + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
