Where you'll be working Brolga Adolescent Inpatient Unit – Hornsby What you'll be doing The Social Worker will provide family therapy to complex family systems, with a particular focus on Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT) as well as structural and systemic therapies to develop behaviour management plans for the ward. You will deliver and facilitate group therapy alongside multidisciplinary colleagues and use an interpersonal skillset to make collaborative decisions about consumer‑focused care. You will have passion for education, training and research and strong involvement in information management and thorough documentation. As a leader, you will be supported in clinical supervision and departmental meetings with an emphasis on strategic partnership with external stakeholders and services. People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply. Candidate criteria A Bachelor or postgraduate degree in Social Work and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Evidence of extensive clinical experience, inclusive of experience as a Level 2 Social Worker. Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement activities or service evaluation processes. Experience in clinical teaching and supervision of students, level 1/2 Allied Health Professionals and/or Allied Health Assistants. Demonstrated proficiency in the provision of current social work practice. A strong commitment to an evidence‑based service to provide for consumers, carers and families requiring assessment, case management, intervention, appropriate referral and discharge planning. Demonstrated proficiency to work autonomously with limited supervision. Ability to prioritise work, manage a demanding workload, apply high‑level reasoning skills and exercise independent professional judgement.
