Senior Social Worker – Youth Link Do you want to be a part of a team that promotes and improves the health of its people and community? This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time and Fixed Term Part Time appointments. Fixed Term appointments will be made with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency. Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur until 31 December 2026. What is our Senior Social Worker role? YouthLink service provides specialist mental health services to young people: aged 13-24 years, with complex, persistent or severe mental health difficulties, or experiencing significant symptoms and at-risk of developing long‑term mental health disorders. The service also supports those facing barriers such as homelessness, transience or limited support networks, who require Tier 4 youth mental health services and are accepting and consenting to mental health treatment and support. The service primarily serves the Perth northern metropolitan area. Provides triage, assessment, treatment and support for young people who meet the above criteria. Responsibilities Conduct mental health assessments, deliver clinical interventions and manage cases at an advanced level for young people with serious and complex mental health disorders or at serious risk. Supervise other members of the multidisciplinary team (MDT) and students on placement. Provide consultative advice, liaise with external agencies and deliver training to enhance capacity of Tier 1 and Tier 2 service providers. Maintain professional and ethical standards in line with Western Australian Working With Children (WWC) Check requirements.
