Overview Job Title: Business Development Manager - Residential / C&I Energy Storage Location: Sydney, Australia Reporting to: General Manager Company Overview Our Client is a global leader in advanced energy storage solutions, committed to accelerating the transition to clean and sustainable energy. With a strong international footprint and a focus on innovation, they provide cutting-edge battery systems for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. Their mission is to empower energy independence and efficiency through smart, reliable, and scalable storage technologies. Role Overview We are hiring two experienced Business Development Managers to drive growth in the Australian market: Residential Segment: Focused on household energy storage systems. Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Segment: Focused on larger-scale energy storage solutions for businesses and industrial clients. Each role will be responsible for developing strategic partnerships, expanding market share, and driving revenue growth in their respective segments. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute market entry and expansion strategies. Assess partner businesses and co-develop strategies to integrate energy storage products. Identify and secure new business opportunities and strategic accounts. Lead negotiations, product training, and onboarding of new partners. Introduce new products and manage day-to-day business operations with partners. Maintain and grow a portfolio of customers to meet revenue and market share targets. Stay ahead of industry trends and contribute to product and market development. Qualifications & Experience Minimum 3+ years of sales experience in the renewable energy sector. Minimum 5+ years of B2B sales experience in high-tech industries, preferably via indirect channels (dealers/distributors). Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience in territory planning and customer portfolio management. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and Salesforce. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a complex sales environment. Preferred Attributes Residential: Experience with household solar and battery storage systems. C&I: Experience with commercial-scale energy storage, microgrids, or industrial energy solutions.
