Base pay range A$120,000.00/yr - A$160,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Downer Professional Services Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia’s future. Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security. We currently have an opportunity for an Exports Control Officer based in Melbourne to support the development and delivery of program management functions for a Land program, with a focus on export controls, stakeholder coordination, and program governance within a Defence environment. What You’ll Do This role offers a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including: Coordinate Export Controls briefings and related activities Provide support to the Program Management Office (PMO) Draft and manage correspondence for internal and external stakeholders Support corporate reporting and governance requirements Deliver specialist advice to support planning, monitoring, and control of this Land Program What You’ll Bring Strong program coordination and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to manage competing priorities and dynamic tasks Experience in Defence acquisition or sustainment environments (CASG desirable) Familiarity with Export Controls and ITAR regulations (highly desirable) Proven ability to work autonomously and solve complex problems Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
