Commercial Manager – RWE Supply & Trading Australia Pty Ltd Full‑time, permanent – Start as soon as possible. About the Role In this role you will manage and optimise the commercial performance of our renewable and storage assets in Australia, working across the entire value chain from operational assets to development projects. Your focus will be on maximizing power and certificate revenues while supporting long‑term strategic growth in the National Electricity Market (NEM). Key Responsibilities Manage and optimise Electricity and LGC revenues from RWE’s operational assets and third‑party assets. Engage in electricity and environmental‑market trading, including standard and bespoke structured products. Oversee and refine the spot‑bidding strategy for the renewable fleet and the NEM’s first 8‑hour BESS, including oversight of relevant Autobidder contracts. Provide commercial insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders, including market trends, revenue forecasts and optimisation strategies. Support the commercial assessment of development projects through market insights and operational assumptions. Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale counterparties and across RWE’s global teams. Present complex market information to a wide range of audiences with confidence. Job Requirements and Experience A degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Computer Science or related discipline. Derivative trading experience in the Australian NEM, with AFMA accreditation viewed positively. Strong analytical and numerical skills, with experience in financial modelling and commercial evaluation. Familiarity with Python, SQL, VBA is highly regarded. A proactive mindset with the ability to contribute ideas, challenge assumptions and drive improvements. Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.
