Peak industry body • Policy impact • Senior stakeholder leadership As State Director VIC/TAS you'll lead CCAA's presence across Victoria and Tasmania—shaping policy, guiding member committees, and building influential relationships with government and industry. You'll be the first call for members, a trusted adviser to decision-makers, and a key contributor to CCAA's national strategy and programs. Responsibilities Represent the industry: engage Ministers, advisers and agencies; build deep relationships with members and stakeholders. Advance policy and advocacy: research issues, analyse risks and opportunities, and prepare succinct policy papers, submissions and briefings that influence government and industry. Lead and enable state committees: coordinate meetings, set agendas, produce minutes, and drive follow-ups to deliver tangible outcomes. Grow engagement: partner with our Stakeholder team on membership retention & recruitment; curate speakers, topics and attendance for events; and help facilitate high-impact forums. Qualifications and Experience A track record working with senior government and industry stakeholders, producing accurate, timely and well-judged advice. Strong research and analysis, systems thinking and problem‑solving skills. Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g., Business, Commerce, Engineering or related). Demonstrated project management capability and policy development experience, with the ability to frame clear options and recommendations. Excellent written and verbal communication; confident with Microsoft Office. A collaborative style and the autonomy to thrive in a small, high‑performing team. Impact and Culture Real impact: influence policy and programs supporting Australia’s critical infrastructure and the transition to lower‑carbon construction materials.
