The small family business established by the brothers Carl and Heinrich Heinemann has developed into a major distributor and retailer for the international travel retail market. Today we supply an ever‑expanding Duty‑Free range of global branded goods to international airports, airlines, cruise liners and border shops in 100‑plus countries. Our retail operation now serves more than 30 million customers annually, offering perfumes and cosmetics, wines and spirits, confectionary, delicacies and much more. Job Location & Contract Support Office located at Sydney International Airport. Contract: Full‑time parental leave contract anticipated to end in October. Responsibilities Play a pivotal role in attracting, sourcing, and hiring top talent for positions across Heinemann Oceania. Collaborate closely with hiring managers, brand partners, and People & Culture Team to understand staffing needs and deliver effective recruitment strategies that align with business goals. Identify candidates who embody Heinemann's Guiding Principles and carry out recruitment activities in line with the Talent Acquisition and broader People & Culture strategies. Lead diverse aspects of recruitment across the business, in both corporate office environment and retail environment. Manage end‑to‑end recruitment processes and ad hoc requirements. Advertise career opportunities internally and externally. Assess, screen, and shortlist suitable candidates. Develop and maintain position descriptions using a centralised database. Schedule and conduct interviews by virtual or in‑person. Conduct reference checks and maintain accurate interviewing and hiring records. Proactively maintain talent pipelines for future recruitment needs. Lead recruitment events such as career fairs, recruitment evenings and exhibitions. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to forecast hiring needs. Drive and raise awareness of the Employee Value Proposition. Qualifications & Experience Previous experience in Recruitment or Talent Acquisition. Studying or studied an HR related field (desirable). Knowledge of P&C databases and candidate management systems. Exceptional interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication abilities. High attention to detail, meticulous organisation skills, ability to multi‑task.
