Your expertise helps us attract, select, and onboard exceptional team members who deliver the five‑star service we’re known for across all 23 locations. This position sits at the heart of our operational success—strengthening team capability, elevating guest experience, and ensuring every hotel is supported with the right people in the right roles. By partnering closely with our HR (People & Culture) team, you’ll help drive meaningful initiatives that enhance our culture, support growth, and contribute to the long‑term success of the organisation. Position Overview The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a key role in shaping the future workforce of Meriton Suites. Responsible for end‑to‑end recruitment, onboarding, and training (induction) coordination, this role ensures we continue to attract exceptional talent across our hotels—spanning Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and selected Head Office positions. Reporting directly to the Head of People & Culture, and working collaboratively with the National Learning & Development Manager, you will oversee a seamless talent journey. From targeted sourcing and thorough screening to confident onboarding and training support, you will ensure every new team member embodies the Meriton Suites culture and is set up for success from day one. Your work directly contributes to maintaining our service excellence, operational efficiency, and the strong team culture that sets Meriton Suites apart. This is a full‑time position based at our National Head Office in the Sydney CBD. As a central support function to our nationwide hotel network, this role operates within standard corporate office hours. Please note that flexible or remote working arrangements are not available for this position. Key Responsibilities Proactively source high‑quality candidates through job boards, social media, employee referrals, and careers fairs. Manage end‑to‑end recruitment for all hotel roles—Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance—plus selected Head Office vacancies. Create engaging job advertisements, screen applications, prepare shortlists, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers across the network. Conduct pre‑screening calls, assess cultural alignment, complete reference checks, coordinate pre‑employment medicals, and schedule in‑person interviews where required. Provide a polished and consistent candidate experience that reflects the Meriton Suites brand and service culture. Actively support key HR (People & Culture) initiatives that contribute to business performance and team capability. Partner closely with Hotel Managers, the Head of People & Culture, and the National Learning & Development Manager to plan talent pipelines and onboarding activities. Maintain clear, timely communication with all stakeholders to ensure well‑coordinated recruitment and onboarding workflows. Assist in forecasting staffing requirements and responding promptly to vacancy requests across the hotel portfolio. Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date recruitment and onboarding records for all 23 hotels. Prepare recruitment updates, progress reports, and vacancy insights for the Head of People & Culture and the National L&D Manager. Ensure all recruitment and onboarding processes comply with company policies, privacy standards, and legislative requirements. Experience & Qualifications Experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, HR coordination, or hotel operations. Skilled in conducting pre‑screening, reference checks, and coordinating pre‑employment medical assessment. Proficiency with recruitment platforms, Microsoft Office, and project coordination tools. Qualifications in hospitality, business, HR, or recruitment are desirable, though not essential for the right candidate. Knowledge of hotel operations or hospitality environments is highly advantageous. Why Meriton Suites?
