Business Development Manager – Enterprise Accounts Location: Melbourne, Australia (Hybrid) Compensation: $120K base + $80K commission (OTE $200K+, uncapped) Reports to: Director / Founder Opportunity SignManager has grown to $30M+ over 25 years on founder‑led relationships alone. Now we're hiring our first dedicated BDM to systematise and scale our growth engine as we target $50M+ over the next 3-5 years. We're a brand implementation consultancy managing complex, multi‑site rollouts for Australia's leading enterprise brands. We handle the entire lifecycle of physical brand assets across 150,000+ sites. What You'll Do Client Expansion (70%) Systematically grow wallet share across our 75+ enterprise client portfolio. Example 1: Company XYZ has 800 stores—we currently service ~100. Your job is to expand from NSW into VIC, QLD, and WA through geographic proposals and multi‑stakeholder relationship building. Example 2: We manage ongoing maintenance for Company ABC across 200 sites, but a competitor handles their new store rollouts. Your job is to win that work back by building relationships beyond Operations into Property and Marketing, and proving we can deliver end‑to‑end. Run quarterly business reviews with Tier 1 / 2 clients. Build relationships across the organisation—Operations to C‑suite. Develop expansion proposals with ROI models and business cases. Strategic Acquisition (30%) Build and nurture a pipeline of target accounts. Win 3-5 new enterprise clients annually ($500K–$1M+ each) through relationship cultivation and trigger‑based activation—not cold calling. Identify and prioritise multi‑site brands in retail, QSR, healthcare, and finance. Maintain continuous touchpoints until buying windows open (e.g., month cycles). Lead complex RFP responses and multi‑stakeholder negotiations. Who You Are 5-10 years in complex B2B sales – $250K–$1M+ deals, 6‑12 month cycles, C‑suite stakeholders. Proven track record – Built $3M+ book of business or grew accounts 3‑5×. Consultative, relationship‑first approach – You're a trusted advisor, not a closer. Strategic thinker – Comfortable with P&Ls, ROI models, and building business cases. Executive presence – Confident presenting to boards and C‑suite. Nice to have: Background in signage, facilities management, brand implementation, or retail operations. This Role is NOT For Transactional "always be closing" personalities. Junior reps seeking their first enterprise role. Solo hunters who don't collaborate cross‑functionally.
