About the Role We’re seeking a Commercial Manager, Projects to join our Development & Project Management team in Melbourne. This role is critical to the successful commercial delivery of Crown’s Capital Works projects, with a large focus on Hospitality Fit Outs. You’ll bring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and expertise in project controls and contractual practices. This is not just a numbers role – it’s about partnering with senior leaders, influencing outcomes, and driving commercial success across some of Australia’s most iconic entertainment spaces. You’ll prepare and manage project budgets, negotiate with contractors, and implement innovative processes that make a real difference. Key Responsibilities Budget & Cost Planning: Prepare detailed project cost plans and budgets across all development stages (concept through completion), ensuring accuracy and identifying opportunities for cost savings. Financial Control: Track budgets, commitments, and variations, and provide timely reporting to senior management on financial performance and risk exposure. Contract Management: Prepare and settle contractor final accounts, negotiate outcomes, and resolve any discrepancies to maintain financial integrity. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables. Ad Hoc Projects: Take on special commercial assignments as directed by senior leadership, contributing to strategic initiatives and operational improvements. What We’re Looking For Strong experience in commercial/contract management within Capital Works Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management Strong analytical skills and confidence in engaging with stakeholders at all levels Self‑motivated with a high level of professionalism and integrity. Strong analytical skills with a high degree of initiative and independence.
