Location: Sydney CBD (Hybrid & Flexible Work Options) Join Local Government Procurement (LGP) We’re looking for an energetic, relationship-driven Business Development Manager to help councils get the most out of LGP’s procurement solutions across NSW. This role is all about building strong partnerships, understanding council needs, and connecting them with the right contracts, training, and advisory support to drive better outcomes for their communities. About Us Local Government Procurement (LGP) was established in 2006 by Local Government NSW to help councils access quality suppliers and best-practice procurement support. What You'll Do Build strong, positive relationships with allocated councils, ROCs, and JOs Promote LGP’s full suite of products, services, and contracts Conduct regular council visits and maintain a highly visible presence in your region Provide trusted procurement advice and guidance Drive commercial growth across contracts, training, and consulting Achieve KPIs and contribute to LGP’s broader strategic goals Represent LGP at meetings, presentations, and industry events What We're Looking For Strong experience in client relationship management Procurement knowledge, including tendering and contract management (public sector preferred) Demonstrated commercial acumen and ability to grow business Ability to assess procurement processes and develop improvement strategies Confident presenting to small and large groups Strong interpersonal, influencing, negotiation, and communication skills High computer literacy across MS Office Willingness to travel within NSW (up to 5 days at a time) Experience supporting or advising councils Procurement or business-related qualifications What You'll Get Hybrid, flexible working Modern Sydney CBD office (3-minute walk from Wynyard Station) A friendly, collaborative team environment A meaningful role helping councils deliver better outcomes for their communities The opportunity to represent an ethical, well-respected organisation Ready to Apply?
