Wanted: Social Media Content Creator (Food) Do you have a passion for producing scroll‑stopping, drool‑inducing photography and videos for food brands? Do you love cooking, styling and dreaming up trend‑led recipe ideas? Do you want to work in a role where you’re able to be part of the entire creative process, from ideation through to execution and post‑production? We are looking for a content creator to join our team at Milkbar Digital who has a minimum of 3 years’ experience producing high calibre content/visuals for brands in the food FMCG space. This role will see you working with our team to produce compelling social media and digital marketing content across our folio of clients in the food, hospitality and wider lifestyle sectors. To view examples of our work, please ensure you visit our website and our Instagram. The opportunity is full‑time and available for an immediate start, based in our Prahran office. Your key responsibilities will include: Pre‑Production: You will need to be comfortable with aspects required for the pre‑production of a shoot, including prop/ingredient sourcing, studio set up and creation of shoot schedules/run sheets, shot lists and moodboards. Production (Photography): You’ll be confident working on set as a photographer, whether in our in‑house studio or on location. This includes everything from safely setting up equipment/gear and shooting various styles of set ups, including tungsten/continuous and flash photography. We use Adobe Suite & Canon DSLR cameras/lenses. Production (Mobile Videography): You’ll be confident working on set as a lo‑fi (mobile) videographer, creating short‑form video content for TikTok and Reels. Food Styling: You’ll be responsible for the food elements of a set, whether that’s preparing and presenting dishes, or prepping and styling raw ingredients to be cooked on camera. You have a natural eye and love for food and understand how to make it look its best Post‑Production: You’ll be responsible for post‑production of your imagery and videos, including Lightroom colour grading, Photoshop re‑touching, CapCut editing plus exporting and file management. This can include everything from stills to stop‑motions to basic graphic design. Creative Ideation: You’ll have a natural love and understanding of commercial and branded marketing, particularly in the food space, and are a creative thinker who can come up with exciting and fresh content ideas that provide solutions to our range of clients. Training and Workshopping: We have a collaborative work culture, with a lot of skill sharing and ideas exchange. It is integral that this role is happy to train and mentor others in our team to grow their creative skillsets. Key skills include: Technical skills: Confidence in aspects of stills photography and lo‑fi videography, including equipment, Adobe Suite, Mac and MS Office proficiency. Food prep, cooking and styling skills: Confidence in all aspects of food styling, including proficiency in knife skills, ingredient prep and obviously confident in cooking and baking. Time management skills: We work at a cracking pace at Milkbar, so you will have an exceptional eye for detail and be able to juggle multiple projects and shoots ongoing. Strategic mindset: A strategic approach to visual storytelling is a must, as our output needs to not only look gorgeous but also meet business goals. People skills: As you’ll be on a lot of client‑facing shoots and working with on‑set creative teams, professional interpersonal skills are required.
