Sales Development Representative – Nutanix, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Do you love technology and are ready to transform how companies work? About the role Nutanix (NTNX) is looking for a motivated and driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) who will play a pivotal role in the generation of pipeline. Your work will involve connecting with prospects supplied by marketing teams on a one‑to‑one basis and through multiple communication avenues such as calling, LinkedIn messages, emails, and more. You will also work closely with field sales to target key accounts and help drive the company’s continued growth. You will report to the Senior Manager, Inside Sales, and the work setup is hybrid, requiring presence in the Sydney office at least 3 days a week. There are no travel requirements. Your responsibilities Identify and nurture potential new business opportunities for sales, growing the pipeline through inbound and outbound initiatives and scheduling first‑call meetings with prospects for the field sales reps. Follow up on all leads generated through marketing campaigns, ensuring timely response and providing feedback to marketing on targeting and lead quality. Maintain a high level of daily activity through calls, connections, emails and utilize a variety of prospecting tools to uncover relevant prospects to target. Work cross‑functionally with field sales, channel and marketing teams to deliver meetings and qualified opportunities, and build new target account lists for sales‑led campaigns. Execute outbound sales‑led campaigns to drive new business acquisition for the assigned territory. What you will bring Minimum 3 years of sales‑related industry experience. 2+ years of solution‑sales experience in software or IT products or services. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, communications, marketing, or a technical discipline. Knowledge of virtualization, storage and cloud computing marketplaces. Experience engaging enterprise prospects and C‑level executives. Proven record in handling enterprise accounts and outbound prospecting. Consistent track record of over‑achieving targets. Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to communicate across functions and with diverse end‑user audiences. Tenacious, ambitious, work‑ethical, and interested in selling. Ability to find, assess and prioritise sales opportunities effectively. Proactive with creative and critical thinking capabilities. Thrives in a fast‑paced environment and adapts quickly to changing initiatives. Passionate about technology and selling innovative ideas. Willingness to learn, be coached and implement new sales techniques. Experience with a CRM or lead‑management tool is a plus. Committed to continuous improvement and contributing to team processes and procedures. Work arrangement Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending remote work with in‑person collaboration. Employees in Sydney are expected to work onsite at least 3 days per week to foster collaboration, alignment and access to office resources.
