Accounts Receivable Manager

ROLE PURPOSE The Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager is responsible for driving the performance of the Accounts Receivable function through the effective and timely collection of customer debt. This role leads and manages an onshore team overseeing the end-to-end processes of customer account setup, credit risk management, and debt collection. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Drive customer debt collection and continuous improvements to ensure minimal overdue account balances. Produce analysis reporting on high risk and aged debt for Executive Leadership. Prepare documentation for bad debt write‑off where required. Manage relationship, data flow and collections targets with external collections agencies. Set, manage and monitor team SLA’s and ensure adherence through effective management of the debtor ledger, individual performance, master data, and credit risk. Effective management of team recruitment, KPI’s, performance management and training requirements. Promote a customer‑centric approach to collections through working closely with Sales, Customer Service and our customers to ensure payments are made in line with credit terms. Identify and implement process improvement initiatives across teams. Support critical Shared Services projects. Management of customer credit application risk assessment and setting of credit limits. Review and resolve escalations relating to rejected credit applications. Ensure quarterly bad‑debt write‑offs occur promptly. Administer companies in Administration within our Winc systems. Assist in fulfilling audit requests where required. WHAT WE LOOK FOR Demonstrated experience as an Accounts Receivable Manager in a Shared Services environment. People leader experienced in driving a high‑performing onshore team. SAP experience. Strong analytical skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated innovative approach to process improvement. Ability to drive positive change across business. Preferably a Finance background with understanding of Accounting. CA and CPA qualifications an advantage.
