As part of the Security and Patient Services team, you will deliver exceptional customer service and support patients, staff and visitors. You will transport patients, assist nursing staff and contribute to high‑quality patient care in a fast‑paced environment that operates on a 24/7 rotating roster. Responsibilities The Wardsperson is responsible for: Transporting patients safely and efficiently throughout the hospital health services to wards, medical appointments and other locations in accordance with relevant policies and procedures. Maintaining hygienic and efficient cleaning standards in line with infection prevention policy. Assisting the Department Manager with the effective operation of the Central Ward Orderly Service. Providing transport of patient‑related equipment throughout the hospital. Transferring, admitting, viewing and discharging deceased patients at the mortuary and other locations. Attending emergency calls such as MET calls, stroke codes, trauma calls, obstetric code red/yellow, aggressive patient emergencies (Code 7 MHU), helicopter landings and fire alarms, and providing clinical support to nursing staff.
