Sales and Marketing Officer – North Sydney Olympic Pool North Sydney Council’s North Sydney Olympic Pool (NSOP) is looking for a passionate individual to lead sales and marketing efforts for its redeveloped aquatic and leisure facility located beneath the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Overview The Sales & Marketing Officer is responsible for proactively sourcing new business opportunities and driving sales across all programs and services offered by NSOP. The role also ensures effective management and delivery of marketing initiatives aligned with Council’s branding and communication guidelines. Responsibilities Conduct daily tours of the centre and provide tailored sales solutions in response to enquiries regarding memberships, programmes, and services. Develop and implement an annual marketing calendar to support consistent internal and external lead generation. Uphold NSOP’s sales policies, procedures, and philosophies in all sales and marketing activities. Support and mentor staff across NSOP in handling membership enquiries, with a strong focus on improving conversion rates and enhancing customer engagement. Take pride in serving the community and making a positive impact every day. Essential Criteria (Qualifications) Previous experience in direct sales using a sales system. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing marketing plans to increase enquiries and sales. Innovation and resourcefulness in promoting services or facilities of a leisure centre. Highly developed planning, time‑management and organisational skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong understanding of media formats, including websites, social media and print. High‑level communication, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills for delivering quality customer service. High‑level computer skills across a variety of software packages. Ability to satisfy Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012 and regulations, and to provide a current NSW Working with Children Clearance. National Criminal Records Check Clearance. Desirable Criteria Experience using computerised POS leisure management systems. Experience training staff to understand and implement a sales system. Flexibility to work across a seven‑day week with morning shifts starting from 8:00 am and closing shifts finishing at 7:00 pm.
