Customer Service Officer Randstad Australia is seeking an experienced Customer Service Officer to join the EDConnect Service & Channels Team in a fast‑paced contact centre environment. Location: Newcastle, New South Wales – Hybrid (2 days in office, 3 days remote). Start Date: 12 January 2026. Contract Length: 26 June 2026 (possible extension). Remuneration: $35.15 per hour + Super. Working Hours: 7.5 hours/day, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, rotating roster. Training: 4‑5 weeks full‑time onsite in Newcastle. Key Duties Deliver high‑quality customer service through strong engagement in a high‑volume contact centre environment. Handle customer enquiries promptly and courteously while maintaining confidentiality and using discretion. Identify, refer, and assign non‑standard and more complex enquiries to a Centre of Expertise for action and resolution. Maintain currency in knowledge of policy, legislation, and related business processes to respond to customer needs efficiently and effectively. Maintain accurate data records in a customer management system to ensure timely resolution of enquiries. Confidently use multiple technology platforms and databases. Meet daily and monthly contact centre KPI targets. Essential Requirements Demonstrated experience in customer service (contact centre, retail, face‑to‑face). Tech savviness: Ability to use multiple technology platforms and databases concurrently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with initiative and self‑management.
