The Peddler Café is a busy Asian fusion café with modern Australian twists based in east of Melbourne - Nunawading. Serving delicious breakfast and lunch 7 days a week, our café is pumping with great vibes, and it is busy with people from all walks of life coming for a tasty feed. Our aim is to service food that makes our customers return time and time again. About the role We are searching for an exceptional Sous Chef with suitable experience in similar high volume, fast paced kitchen environments. Our ambition is to elevate our culinary program to another level and redefine what our customers expect from cafe cuisine. Weekend availability is a must. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience: Proven experience in Asian cuisines Strong skills in menu and recipe development, budgeting, and implementation Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, challenging environment A hands‑on management style with the ability to lead and direct kitchen staff effectively Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills Ability to work with minimal supervision Strong commitment to delivering high-quality food and exceptional standards Solid understanding of HACCP and food safety procedures Positive, can‑do attitude and a proactive approach to problem‑solving If you’re ready to bring energy, creativity, and leadership to a busy kitchen environment, we’d love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
