IMMEDIATE - IT Service Desk - AUD 41 per hour - 38 hours - Council Environment Role: IT Service Desk / IT SupportInitial contract: Till Feb ’26Location: BankstownMUST HAVE: IT Service Desk experience (Level 1 and Level 2) Overview To support the service management team in delivering IT support services to Council, staffing the IT Service Desk and providing support to users of IT tools by logging service calls, solving incidents or escalating these as needed. Responsibilities Liaising with users of council systems and assuring product performance through handling minor problems requiring considerable technical ability. Assuming responsibility for the safety and security of IT plant and equipment as well as the WHS of the business. Answering Service desk calls as per approved protocol. Providing level 1 service desk support and level 2 desktop support to users. Managing set‑up activities for IT devices and systems and monitoring their performance to limit or prevent loss of service to end users. Installing and connecting system hardware or new software and performing system diagnostics. Repairing and correcting malfunctions as necessary in accordance with troubleshooting and maintenance role. Modifying or updating hardware or software assets as required.
