Project Officer Full‑Time Temporary Opportunity up to 2 years with the possibility of ongoing Salary starting from $113,574pa + super Location flexible across Revenue NSW offices with hybrid working An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Officer to join the Optimisation and Project Delivery division with the Revenue NSW Fines and Debt pillar. This role will sit within a newly established squad to deliver key strategic initiatives aligned with the Fines and Debt Ecosystem Program under the Fines and Debt Strategy 2030, focusing on leading the delivery of the initiatives under the program. Key responsibilities Support the implementation of all aspects of project development to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and in line with best practice project management principles Develop stakeholder relationships by forming strong, collaborative relationships with business partners, professional stakeholders, third‑party vendors and other team members Prepare reports and information packs for steering committee and governance structures, including project working groups, and governance reporting and financial management Support research to develop insights from quantitative data and customer feedback to support evidence‑based project planning and decision making Facilitate the use of Fines and Debt’s shared delivery framework (for delivery projects and other initiatives) Coordinate resource management across the program, including capability planning and procurement of external services Support benefit tracking and realisation planning, ensuring alignment with business case outcomes To be successful in this role you will demonstrate: Experience overseeing all aspects of project development, implementation and closure, across complex projects or programmes, including project plans, and meeting reporting requirements, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and in line with best practice project management principles (agile, with an understanding of Waterfall and hybrid) Demonstrated experience applying human‑centred design (HCD) to understand complex problems and identify solutions and new approaches to delivering customer outcomes Forming strong, collaborative relationships with business partners, professional stakeholders, third‑party vendors and other team members Having excellent communication skills and being able to manage customer and stakeholder expectations Preparing and supporting Steering committee and governance meetings, including leading project working groups, as needed and taking the lead role in managing risks and governance reporting Planning, problem‑solving and analytical skills with the ability to work through issues with complexity and guide others in the resolution of problems Demonstrating your ability to maintain stable performance under pressure and/o opposition (such as time pressure, ambiguity, uncertainty, and stakeholder resistance) Demonstrating your experience in using Microsoft Office tools and other project/program management software What we need from you Please submit an up‑to‑date CV and a brief cover letter outlining how your skills and experience are aligned to the role.
