Details of the role The Project Officer will play a key role in supporting research projects as part of a multidisciplinary team of researchers for a MRFF-sponsored clinical trial of digital self-management support for people with COPD and comorbidities. The position will provide administrative and research support to senior research staff in activities associated with various research projects, including the contribution and application of knowledge in the field of public health to a range of projects conducted within the School of Population Health. The role reports to Dr Sameera Ansari, Senior Research Fellow, and has no direct reports. Some Key Skills Required A university degree in Public Health, or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through a combination of education, training or experience; clinical training preferred. Provision of efficient administrative and research support to stakeholders, assisting in the conduct of research that contributes to a better understanding of digital self-management support for COPD and comorbidities, contributing where appropriate. Support in the implementation of components and initiatives with the clinical trial. Monitor, track and report on the status of project deliverables to ensure time, cost and quality metrics are in line with the project plan approved by the sponsor. Assist with recruitment of participants, data collection through the digital health platform, and coordination of intervention delivery. Contribute to the production of technical reports, manuscripts for publication and tenders or grants for external funding. Experience in coordination of clinical trials for COPD in primary care; GCP certification required. Knowledge of research protocols, experimental design and planning as involved in developing research projects and reporting against milestones.
