Backed by strong financial investment and experiencing rapid growth in Queensland, the company is now seeking a Business Development Manager who can quickly progress into a State Manager role. If you have experience selling pumps, mechanical equipment, or service solutions into the oil & gas, water, or industrial sectors, this role offers a rare and exciting leadership pathway. About the Company Our client is a leading provider of pump and compressor solutions , mechanical equipment servicing , and engineered packages across Australia. With major workshop capabilities interstate and plans to expand their Queensland footprint, they are entering a significant growth phase — particularly in the service and aftermarket space. The Opportunity As the Business Development Manager for Queensland , you will be responsible for driving market growth and expanding the company’s regional presence. Your primary focus will be on increasing service revenue — pump overhauls, compressor repairs, rotating equipment refurbishment, and engineered service solutions — while also identifying opportunities for new equipment sales across water infrastructure, municipal projects, and broader industrial markets. High performance will fast‑track you into a State Manager position, where you will take on branch management and full sales leadership as the QLD operation scales. What You’ll Be Doing Grow the Queensland market with a strong emphasis on pumps, compressors, and rotating equipment service and repair Build and strengthen relationships with engineering firms, consultants, industrial clients, and oil & gas operators Identify opportunities to expand both new equipment sales and service offerings Manage the complete sales cycle — from lead generation through to technical proposals, negotiation, and closing Explore major opportunities in the water sector , including municipal water authorities, desalination projects, and utilities Maintain accurate pipeline reporting, forecasting, and account planning Collaborate closely with engineering, workshop, and service teams to deliver tailored technical solutions Support the development of sales processes and help shape the future structure of the Queensland branch What We’re Looking For Experience & Technical Background Engineering qualification (Mechanical preferred) or solid industry experience 5+ years’ experience in business development or technical sales within pumps, rotating equipment, mechanical service, or oil & gas Good technical understanding of equipment service and repair Knowledge of API 610, 685, or 675 standards is advantageous Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical and commercial sales cycles Skills & Attributes Strong relationship builder with excellent communication skills Technically confident, able to translate complex solutions for different audiences Commercially driven with a strong track record in meeting and exceeding targets Ambitious, proactive, and ready to step into sales leadership Willingness to travel throughout Queensland Full Australian working rights Why This Role?
