About the Role We are seeking a well‑presented, organised, and personable Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our dental practice. Your role is essential to ensuring a smooth, positive experience for every patient who walks through our doors. As our Receptionist, you will manage front‑office operations including scheduling, patient communication, phone and email enquiries, and payment processing. You will work closely with our clinical and administrative team to support day‑to‑day operations and maintain our high standard of customer service. This position offers ongoing support and training, with opportunities for long‑term growth within the practice. Duties include: Greeting patients and visitors in a warm, professional manner Scheduling and confirming appointments Managing phone calls, emails, and website enquiries Processing payments (cash, EFTPOS, HICAPS) Maintaining a clean and organised reception and waiting area Coordinating patient flow and supporting clinicians as needed Providing general administrative support to the practice The ideal candidate will: Have a friendly, professional personality Demonstrate strong communication skills (written & verbal) Show initiative and a strong work ethic Be reliable, organised, and able to multitask Have basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel, general admin skills) Work effectively as part of a team within established procedures Present professionally and maintain a positive attitude Previous reception or administration experience—especially in healthcare—is highly desirable, but we will provide training for the right person.
