About the Role We’re on the lookout for a passionate and driven Senior Sous Chef to join our team full-time at The Boathouse North Wollongong, where coastal charm meets a sophisticated dining experience. Working closely with our Executive Chef, you’ll play a key role in shaping and elevating our culinary offering. In this dynamic role, you will: Craft and deliver an exciting, seasonal, and seafood-focused menu that reflects current trends while showcasing the freshest local ingredients. Maintain and refine all food offerings, ensuring every dish leaving the kitchen meets our high standards for quality, consistency, and presentation. Identify opportunities for innovation and growth, bringing fresh ideas to life in our well-equipped kitchen set within an iconic heritage venue. Uphold exceptional service by ensuring every plate is prepared with precision and delivered with the level of excellence our guests expect. About you To be the perfect addition to The Boathouse Group, you will have 2 years of prior experience as a Senior Sous Chef in a high-paced, high-volume environment where you’ve demonstrated your strong leadership and organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure. You’ll also be: Able to educate others on new techniques in all sections and maintain high standards of quality and presentation; A good communicator with a positive attitude and a genuine team player; Neatly presented with extremely high levels of hygiene and pride in your appearance; Organised with a love for well-executed food.
