Venture Capital FundExciting ANZ mandateProven track record with an extensive portfolioOur Sydney-based client is a successful venture capital investor and asset management firm with an enviable track record investing in Australian and New Zealand global software and advanced technology companies.As a key senior hire, you will report to and work alongside the founder in further developing the firm’s IR/Distribution function, lead capital formation and fundraising activities for the firm’s new and existing strategies. Your focus will be to lead and maintain dialogue with both existing and new potential sources of capital, with your key responsibilities being:Drive growth in funds under management through maintaining relationships with existing investors, but also through expanding investor reach across High Net Worth (HNW), Private Wealth Management (PWM) & Institutional investorsLead fundraising for new strategies / fundsLead the strategy, planning, development & execution of all investor relations initiatives for the firmDesign, implement & lead the firm’s fundraising strategy including a long-term strategic plan for fundraising initiativesThe successful candidate will have sound academics (appropriate tertiary qualification, CFA highly regarded, adviser compliant) with 10 + years’ experience gained in blue-chip financial services environments and display the following:Strong existing relationships within the target investor channels (Institutional, Family Offices, HNW and PWM) in Australia & the APAC regionProven ability to build & cultivate new & existing relationships across sophisticated investor groupsBe a self-starter with an ability to act in an entrepreneurial environment & operate autonomouslyA demonstrated ability to think strategically about best market approach & how to use your understanding of industry trends to unlock potential new opportunities for my clientThis is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded investment firm destined for future growth.You must have full working rights for Australia to be considered for this role.For a confidential discussion please contact Adam Taylor-Campbell at
