About This Role Administration Support Officer – full‑time, fixed term (ends 25 October 2026) at CFA Headquarters, Burwood East. This role supports a busy emergency service organisation by ensuring day‑to‑day office operations run smoothly. Key Responsibilities Act as the first point of contact for visitors, manage the visit‑pass process and ensure everyone feels welcomed. Handle a high volume of phone calls and email enquiries with professionalism and efficiency. Coordinate the dispatch and delivery of mail, parcels and other goods. Order and manage stationery and office supplies to keep the workplace fully equipped. Maintain and update business processes and work instructions. Assist with basic financial tasks including purchase orders, receipts and invoice processing in line with CFA standards. Support records management, data entry and other administrative tasks as required. Take on ad hoc projects to improve office systems and processes. What You’ll Need Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build good working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. Proven administration and reception experience. Confidence using MS Office and database systems. Excellent communication skills and a friendly, customer‑focused approach. Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to work proactively and independently. The ability to draft professional correspondence, documents and reports.
