Apply now Job no: JR Work type: PermanentLocation: Corporate Services - NSW Metropolitan, Corporate Services - QLD MetropolitanCategories: Administration/Support Services Permanent full-time position (2 year fixed term) Flexible location – hybrid working supported The Opportunity The Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team is a multifaceted team responsible for managing and supporting the accurate timely and efficient collection of revenue, from the initial patient encounter or service provided to the receipt of final payment. The team oversees a diverse range of operational facets including administration tasks such as insurance coverage verification, hospital admission, and charge capture, as well as accurate coding of services rendered and adherence to contractual business rules, claim submission to payors and diligent follow up on outstanding accounts. As an Administration Support Officer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting nationally consistent revenue cycle administration activities. You will provide guidance, support, education, and training for hospital-based administration teams, to achieve operational excellence, optimise revenue capture and improve cash collections. About you To succeed in this role, you will be an enthusiastic individual with a strong hospital administrative skillset and a passion for process improvement and customer service. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with a variety of stakeholders. Comfort in both collaborative team settings and autonomous working environments is essential, reflecting your adaptability and versatility in achieving objectives. Key Skills and Experience Minimum 2 years’ experience in hospital administration. Experience with patient administration systems: e.g., Meditech, Eclipse, SAP, and other relevant health industry specific applications. Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated commitment to a high standard of customer service. Demonstrated written skills with the ability to prepare documentation and training/education materials. Dedicated to ongoing enhancement and the pursuit of excellence in hospital administration practices. Ability to work autonomously, within a multi-disciplinary team, collaboratively with stakeholders and to tight deadlines. Ability to adapt workshop and training content to different audience needs and learning styles. Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Experience and knowledge of private health insurers and payor contracts. Previous experience with projects or change management. Industry certification in process improvement or a tertiary qualification in business, commence or health.
