The Senior Executive Assistant to the Group CEO & Managing Director is a senior, high-impact role, operating as a trusted advisor, strategic partner, and right hand to the CEO. This role goes far beyond traditional executive support, it drives critical initiatives, enhances organisational effectiveness, and represents the CEO externally and internally with absolute professionalism and influence. The Senior Executive Assistant ensures that the CEO’s office functions as a high-performing hub that advances business priorities, strengthens stakeholder relationships, and drives growth and operational excellence across the organisation. What you can expect to be doing Strategic Executive Support & Advisory Act as a trusted strategic advisor to the CEO, enabling focus on high-value priorities and critical decision-making. Manage, filter, and align the CEO’s time, commitments, and communications to optimise strategic outcomes. Prepare, review, and synthesize high-stakes materials, briefings, and presentations for internal and external audiences. Anticipate issues, identify opportunities, and elevate risks or decisions requiring CEO input proactively. Act on behalf of the CEO where appropriate, representing their voice and intentions to internal and external stakeholders. Stakeholder & Relationship Management Build and maintain trusted, high-level relationships with internal stakeholders, global investors, strategic partners, and industry peers. Act as a credible representative of the CEO’s office in all communications and engagements, ensuring clarity, professionalism, and influence. Manage strategic communications, including sensitive messaging and high-profile correspondence, on behalf of the CEO. Office Leadership Oversee policies, procedures, and resourcing to support consistent excellence across the CEO’s office and executive support functions. Implement systems and processes that enhance information flow, decision-making, and enterprise effectiveness. Provide leadership to ensure the CEO’s office is an efficient, professional, and trusted hub within the organisation. Board & Leadership Support Provide high-level support to the Board, Chair, and Executive Leadership Team. Ensure agendas, papers, presentations, and strategic communications are delivered to the highest standard. Track and follow up on key decisions, actions, and organisational priorities to ensure accountability and execution in partnership with executive support functions. Act as a key conduit between the CEO and leadership team, enabling seamless alignment and organisational clarity. What you’ll bring and who you are 5-10 years’ experience in senior executive support roles, ideally supporting a CEO, Chair, or Group Executive in a large, complex, and preferably global organisation. Strong commercial and financial acumen with an ability to assess and maintain strategic awareness. Highly organised, with excellent judgment and the ability to anticipate and manage competing priorities. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to prepare high-quality documents and briefings. Professional presence and gravitas, with the ability to engage confidently with Board, executives, and internal and external stakeholders. Discretion, integrity, and absolute commitment to confidentiality. You are confident, proactive, and unshakeably reliable.
