Commercial Manager - Major Roads Projects Reporting to the Project Director, the role supports multiple Melbourne based road services contracts. The primary responsibility is to provide commercial leadership and directly manage the commercial, risk and financial administration processes for the contract while maintaining Ventia standards and governance requirements. Responsibilities Involved in all commercial interactions between the project parties Lead commercial procurement and project commercial activities Manage all commercial claims and contractual matters Prepare commercial risk reviews and strategy Undertake detailed reviews of project performance and compliance with standard commercial and contract administration systems and processes Ensure commercial activities are executed in accordance with Ventia approvals and procedures Detect potential commercial issues early and implement strategies to resolve them promptly to a satisfactory outcome Increase commercial acumen and knowledge among delivery teams Identify synergies across delivery teams and regions to streamline processes and service delivery Implement actions to address legal and regulatory requirements and company business standards, processes and group policies Qualifications Principle understanding of contract and construction law and project commercial administration systems Proven track record of delivering commercial outcomes at an operational level 5+ years of experience in commercial activities Specific experience in PPPs, operations, and management preferred Qualifications in quantity surveying, law, commerce, engineering or other relevant disciplines Diversity Ventia is enriched by diverse experiences, talents and cultures.
